The Circle Scissors Plus (#112530) is a wonderful tool for cutting circles, perfect circles every time.
** No more jagged edges that you would get when trying to cut a circle with scissors.
** Choose any size circle between 1 and 6 inches, on a continuum. No risk of needing a circle "in-between" two sizes. It is very easy to adjust for the perfect size.
** Cuts through paper, card stock, photos.
** The transparent center allows you to see where you are cutting... easy to choose which part of a photo you want.
** You can cut or draw circles. The holder can adjust for various pen sizes. It also comes with a replacement blade. More can also be ordered.
** It is recommended to use a glass mat to keep the blade sharp.
I would love to show you how to use this tool. Contact me to set up a time.

Letting someone know we appreciate them does not necessarily require anything elaborate.
Cassandra made this 4x4 with the Sending Love Specialty Designer Series Paper. Specialty because one side of every sheet of paper has sparkles. You gotta love sparkles... especially when they are already well attached and don't fly everywhere :)
Let me know if you would like to add this paper to your next order.

Lots of texture on this card! You can't see too well in the photo, but the big red heart is covered with micro beads from the red bed duo from Stampin' Up!
The sentiment and little flower come from the stamp set "With All My Heart."
We will be making this card at the "Valentines for Friends" class on Tuesday, February 9. Register now.

Here is another Valentine idea...
We had lots of fun making these two cards at club this month. We used the "double the fun" technique with the stamp set called "With All My Heart."
Want to learn more techniques on a regular basis? Consider joining the club. I am taking registration for a new group starting in March.

Janice made this card using the Sweet Pea Designer Series Paper Stack (117161). What a great deal! You get 48 double-sided sheets of wonderful paper that coordinates with Stampin' Up! card stock.
Janice added texture to the card by adding some Sweet Pea Stitched Felt flowers (117266) - which totally coordinate with the Designer Series Paper of course.
Want to know another cool way to use these flowers?

Well, this was a fun night. No, I was not a torch bearer but this gal wanted me to hold her torch to get my picture taken. How cool was that!!!!
I have been in a country hosting the Olympic games several times in my life but this was the first time I saw the Olympic flame so close.
After spending the day at my desk doing office work, it was lots of fun to join the crowds in cheering the flame along the route.
Have you seen the Olympic mascots? Quatchi, Sumi, and Miga. Which one are you like? Take the test at this site and come back here to leave a comment.
P.S. Can you guess which mascot I am most like (at least according to the test)?

Besides the cute basket shown in the last post, this is one of the cards we will be making on February 9.
You don't want Valentine's day to be an ordinary day. Why not show your friends and co-workers that you appreciate them in a special way. And what better way to do that than to give them a hand-made something...
The class will be fun and the cost is only $15 for 3 items (a little basket and two cards). "Sending Love" Specialty Designer Series Paper (gorgeous paper, each sheet has one side that sparkles), With All My Heart stamp set, the new Scallop Trim Border punch will be some of the new items featured. You don't want to miss it.
Tuesday, February 9 at 7:00 pm in Prince George.

Just imagine putting some chocolate in this cute little basket and leaving it at your co-worker's desk... I bet that would make her day.
I used the "Basket and Blooms" die, the "Birds and Blooms" sizzlits and "Little Leaves" sizzlit. All these dies are exclusive to Stampin' Up! and make a very cute project.
We will be making this project as well as two cards for friends on February 9 at 7:00 pm. Why don't you join us! Cost is $15

Help make a difference in the lives of those who continue to suffer from the effects of the devastating earthquake that struck Haiti on January 12.
From now until February 28, 2010, Stampin’ Up!® will set aside $2 USD from the sale of every I {Heart} Hearts stamp set and donate it to the American Red Cross’ Haiti Relief and Development Fund. The Red Cross is already well established in Haiti, and this money will be used to provide immediate relief and long-term support through supplies, technical assistance and other support to help those in need.
In addition, I will donate my personal commission on the sales of any of these stamps sold to the Canadian Red Cross Haiti Earthquake Fund, as every little bit will help.
Look at some samples made with this set. These samples were either on the display boards or in a swap I received.
Also, check out how else Stampin' Up! is helping... they bought supplies for 5,000 hygiene kits. A few of their vendors donated supplies as well.
Then they invited the employees to assemble the kits over the next few days. The response was so enthusiastic, it was all done in ONE day! Even Stampin' Up! president got into it. Check it out on Shelli's blog.

Just in time for Valentine's Day, our new Heart Treat Cups coordinate
perfectly with the Sweetheart stamp set and the Full Heart punch.
While these are perfect for Valentine's-themed projects, they are also great for many other occasions including Mother's Day, wedding and bridal shower favors, anniversary cards, or just simple projects that show you care.

Isn't this project adorable? Lyn made it for me using the Just Buzzin' By stamp set. She was my roommate at the Stampin' Up! Leadership Conference. It was very fun spending time with her and Fran. I also got to spend time with a number of other demonstrators and make new friends.
It was great meeting some of the Stampin' Up! staff in person. They are just so friendly and approachable.
There is nothing like connecting with other very creative people! Not only do we share project ideas, but we share about ourselves also. My life has been enriched from interacting with these wonderful ladies.
Could you imagine yourself being part of such a group? I would love to tell you more about how you too can share in this wonderful opportunity. Just Email me so we can set up a time to chat.

Today was another day in Phoenix but it was what Stampin' Up! calls Regionals seminar. There were a number of different presentations, some by staff and others by various demonstrators. Lots of very nice samples and ideas.
Shelli, Stampin' Up!'s co-founder and CEO stamped those beautiful images and locked them in our new Simply Adorned line of jewelry. Click on image for a larger view. You can totally personalize jewelry for yourself or to give as a special gift. Check p.28 of the Occasions Mini catalogue or online.

At Stampin' Up! Leadership conference we saw a lot of fabric projects that can be made using the Big Shot machine. Then at the last session, we all received this beautiful quilt block... can you imagine 1,000 demonstrators excited about receiving this gift? clapping, screaming, dancing.... oh my goodness!! was it ever fun to be part of this.
This was designed by Jill Olsen. Then Shelli Gardner, Stampin' Up!'s co-founder and CEO picked the fabrics and the Stampin' Up!'s employees brought their sewing machines to work and assembled them. Pretty cool, eh?
Jill used the 5-point 3D star die to cut the petals. The centers are cut with the scallop circles die so is the leaf. The Big Shot machine can cut up to 8 layers of fabric at one time, making it very quick to cut all the pieces needed for a project.
If you are interested in knowing more about using the Big Shot machine with your sewing/fabric projects, let me know and we can get together.

Make and Take session was yesterday but I got to take a photo of some of the projects today.
It uses the "With All My Heart" stamp set (of course, seeing as this is the set we got for free). You can also see the new background stamps from p. 42 in the Occasions Mini Catalogue. "Dot dot dot" is used on the tag and "A to Z" on the card on the right.
Where does the big flower come from? The new punch Extra Large Fancy Flower on p.10 of the mini. The scallops on the tag are made with that flower also. Considering it is such a large punch, it is actually very easy to use.
Fun, easy cards. What do you think? Leave a comment to let me know.
Look at the cool bag I got just for attend Stampin' Up!'s Leadership conference. I love it!! Also got the "With All My Heart" stamp set available in the Occasions Mini Catalogue. We made several cards, a scrapbook page and a "milk carton" box. I will post photos tomorrow.
We also got a chance to see demonstrations by several demonstrators. oh wow... so many ideas...
So many ways to use the Egg Cellent kit in the mini catalogue - not just to decorate eggs but also to make very cute 3x3 cards, tiny little birdhouses and more.
There was a whole section of using fabric in the Big Shot machine: a beautiful pin made with scallop circles and synthetic fabric, beautiful quilts made with various dies (5point 3D star, oval scallop frame, and more).
Look at this baby onesie using the Stampin' Up! Tulipe die. Isn't this cute?
Tomorrow, we will have more formal sessions and teaching.
Come back, I will post a sample of the day.

Well, you better dig it out and come play with us on January 18. Cost is $15 and all supplies are included.

Have you ever had trouble getting a nice crisp fold on your project? The bone folder comes to the rescue.
You can use the tip to score your card stock. Place your ruler where you want the fold and run the bone folder along the ruler.
Use one of the beveled edges to smooth the crease once your have folded your card stock. I like to line up my card stock properly and the score line will naturally do its job. If you rely primarily on the score line you may get a crooked project.
Use the bone folder to distress the edges of your card stock.Great also for making "faux suede." Watch for a tutorial on this technique soon.
Add the bone folder to your next order, you will reach for it all the time.
