Do You Have Your Marbles?

Marbles, when used with ink, can make a fun background. We made this card in a technique class a while back. After making the background, we used the "Embrace Life" stamp set to finish off the card. The colours used are almost amethyst, apricot appeal, and certainly celery.
Here are instructions for making the "rolling marbles" or "faux marble" background:

1. Place several marbles in a plastic stamp case.
2. Add a few drops of ink refill in case, using a different case for each color of ink.
3. Roll marbles to coat with ink.
4. Attach card stock to the lid of the case using double-stick tape.
5. Close lid, flip, and swirl.
6. Repeat with coordinating colors using additional cases.

Card Elements Make Cards Quickly

A Note of Thanks Box

It was fun making this box at convention. You can use it to store cards or as a gift box. The 1 1/4" pink pirouette grosgrain ribbon is new... we gathered it, then put crystal effects on the edge and put glitter on that. The center of the rosette is made with a rub-on and a rhinestone brad. The edge of the box uses the new Bella Rose paper and of course the scalloped edge punch. Bella Rose and other new papers

We visited our grandchildren and their families not too long ago and of course took pictures. It is fun to put them into a scrapbook when we get home. I really wanted to highlight this photo of the two girls seemingly in deep conversation - so precious. It was a hot day and it wasn't long before the sprinklers beckoned... so much fun. I recorded the events of the day in the journaling section so I wouldn't forget the details. I used the new Bella Rose designer paper, riding hood red, pink pirouette and chocolate chip cardstock. The chipboard letter came from the simon upper set. By the way, I didn't have a C left, so I used the G and just cut off part of it. If you are missing a letter, think of another one you could transform. Choose some photos you have taken this summer and scrapbook it today - have fun!!
