Old Saint Nick Rub Ons

Isn't this a fun way to give a little gift? It is made simple with Stampin' Up! designer series paper and rub ons. Do you think I came up with this idea? Christmas Card Using the Big Shot

"Peace" is a word we often see on Christmas cards. To me it talks about the peace Christ brings to my heart because He came to earth to be our Saviour.
I used my Big Shot machine, and several Stampin' Up! exclusive dies: the birds and blooms sizzlits, join in the cheer decorative strip die, and the top note die. I got the inspiration from somewhere (can't remember where, sorry) and had fun changing it around. Then the club members got to make one too.

Club is a very fun way to make new friends, learn techniques and tricks and build up your supply over time. We will start again in January and go until June. The commitment is to place a $35 order each month and you get to be "hostess" once during the club period - meaning you get a free stamp set and a minimum $20 free merchandise.

Gift Card Holder - Ornament

I love it when objects have more than one usage: a machine that can mix cake batter but also blend smoothies. My favorite has to be the "spork" I received as a gift... this contraption is a fork, a spoon and a knife all in one. It's great for hiking - much lighter to carry than separate utensils.
So that's why I love this gift card holder which can also be an ornament. Of course you can also slip a note in the pocket with the gift card and it becomes a greeting card. I first saw the idea on Angie's blog.

Beautiful Dress

I was delivering some products the other day and found a group of ladies having fun making cards together. That totally made my day...  I really enjoyed seeing what they were coming up with. One card really attracted my attention and Carri let me take it home so I could take a picture of it and share with you. Although the photo doesn't do it justice at all!!

The card base is textured pretty in pink. The dress is made with the Bella Rose DSP.

I love the inside verse: "Sometimes I wish I could go back to the days when my biggest problem was what kind of dress to put on Barbie."

Christmas Tree

The Christmas tree has been a tradition in our family. Some years we were very ambitious and cut our own tree, mostly we bought a real tree at a store in town. More recently, I purchased (much to my sons' dismay...) an artificial tree - SO much easier to handle... the downside is not having the pine smell in the house. However, the advantage of not having to remember to water every day and not having to vacuum the needles for weeks after the tree is gone FAR outweighs any drawbacks.

So this card uses the pine tree from the Lovely as a Tree stamp set. I used a red marker to make the decorations on the tree and added crystal effects for more pop. The card base is always artichoke. The greeting is stamped with chocolate chip craft ink and embossed with clear powder.

Simple Grace? Infinite Grace...

We made this card at one of my classes recently. I love this stamp set because it reflects what Christmas is really about: the birth of Christ, manifesting God's infinite grace toward us - something we definitely don't deserve.

I like the softness of the image stamped in baja breeze. The star and "Merry Christmas" are embossed in silver. Other colours used are riding hood red and kiwi kiss.
