Eastern Blooms - a Week End Sketch

I thought I would try Beate's week end sketch #70. Lori is the host this week and you can find details on her blog. 

I have been making cards and other projects for most of the day. Now to decide which ones to use in a class...  This was a fun card to make using the sketch. I used the Eastern Blooms and Sincere Salutations stamp sets. I love this colour combination, also found in the Good Morning Sunshine designer series paper.

Sunshine

The "Good Morning Sunshine" designer series paper has fun colours and works very well with the "Cheep Talk" stamp set.

Peacefull Love

Lately I have been making mostly cards. However, when I received this photo I knew I HAD to scrap it. It was taken about 12 hours after Luke's birth.
I thought the colours in the "green tea" designer series paper (retired unfortunately) would work really well.
I run a piece of certainly celery paper through the Big Shot machine with the Stampin' Up! Backgrounds I texturz plate. It adds texture to the page, still keeping it soft.

So the official word is out: we’ll never know if the groundhog saw his shadow in Prince George yesterday, because he couldn’t dig himself out from underneath all the snow... But that's ok, it gives us time to stay cozy at home and stamp.
