Lavender has always been a special for me. We had a big bush of it growing in our yard. We would dry it up and then put it into sachets that were left in the linen closet. So my clean pillow case always smelled lavender.

We had fun playing with the "smoosh technique"... love the scientific term... at our last club meeting.

The fun part is that you're not quite sure what you will end up with... The big flower in the Flower Fancy set (111578) complements the background created with the "smoosh technique... " (Doesn't that sound like fun??)

I totally copied the card that Tracie St Louis made... I liked it so much. I think I will use it in one of the Christmas cards classes coming up starting in October.

Hello Again

Yesterday, I got to visit with Carri, one of my downline who went to convention. She just got back into town and it was great chatting with her and seeing all the samples they made.

One of the stamp sets each demonstrator attending convention received for free is "Hello Again." I was amazed at the beautiful projects they made with this set... unfortunately I don't have photos to show you. Maybe later.

In the mean time, enjoy one of the samples available in the catalogue on p. 114. What an ideal card, just to say "hello." Fun backgrounds on perfectly punched hearts make this a real "wow."

Clean and Simple

A clean and simple card to express thankfulness.

Using the Inspired by Nature stamp set, I heat embossed the grass on Soft Suede card stock.
The Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set provided the sentiment, punched with small oval and large oval punches. Add a bit of ribbon - done.

By the way, there are still some spots available on the ribbon share. You would get 3 yards each of the six in-colour polka dot ribbon - aren't they gorgeous?

A Circle of Thoughts and Prayers

Amazing how thought processes evolve as you create a card... I wanted to make again a card that had used the old in-colours - so that meant using the scallop circle.
But I also wanted to do something different... so I used a different stamp set: Thoughts and Prayers.
Then came the choice of colours...

Anyways, it was fun to use the Crushed Curry Stampin' Write Marker. I am so glad these markers are now available in the in-colours.
