I love the new Paper Doily sizzlit in the Occasions Mini Catalogue. OK, there are lots of things I love in the new mini... but this gives such a delicate, beautiful look to any project.

I have to admit, it is fiddly to punch out all the little pieces but the result is very much worth the little bit of extra time.

So many different ways to use this die.

Letter to Santa Folio Project

AUTUMN Frame

I don't do a lot of changing of my home decor over the seasons but I have to admit that this frame will add a Fall flair to my home.

It uses the Spice Cake Desginer Series Paper coming up in the new Holiday Mini Catalogue.

On Saturday, September 17 at 9:30 am, we will make this beautiful frame in a class in Kitchener, ON. Wouldn't this add to your Fall home decor?

Take some time for yourself to have fun and join us. It's only $15 flat fee or a minimum $25 order that day. You will need to provide your own 10" or 12" square frame, but all the other supplies will be provided. Join us!

Tagtastic Flowers

You can make these beautiful flowers easily with Stampin' Up! Designer Series Paper.

This bouquet features the In-Colour Pattern Designer Series Paper Stack (117158).

Make rings and stack them. Then secure them in the center with mini glue dots and Stampin' Dimensionals. Decorate the center with a button and punched flower from coordinating card stock. Add a pearl and you have a beautiful flower ready to be attached to floral wire.

The tag on the front of the jar is made with the Tagtastic stamp set (exclusive hostess set) inked with various markers. Then it is punched with the Extra Large Oval (119859). The blushing bride scallop circle in the back adds some contrast.

Scallop Envelope Box

Take that bitty little Scallop Envelope for the Big Shot and turn it into a box.  Perfect for some wee springtime treats. I love how the builder wheels add a little extra wow to the box and the felt flower just pulls it all together!

Step by Step Directions

1. Cut two scallop envelopes out of Pear Pizzazz using the Big Shot.
2. Using all three builder wheels together and Pear Pizazz ink roll over envelopes.
3. Trim bottom half on both envelopes to .5 of an inch.
4. Take Word Window punch and create handle on first envelope and then use it as a guide for the handle on the second envelope.
5. Fold along all score lines and using stick strip attach the two bottom flaps together, overlapping one so it sits along the score line on the other. Using sticky strip attach the sides together in the same
6. Cut out Fun Flowers (medium and small size) and centre out of felt. Attach together with a Clear Rhinestone Brad. Attach to box with Stampin' Dimensionals.
7. Stamp greeting in Concord Crush on Whisper White and punch out with Large Oval. Attach to box with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Valentine with Daytime on Rogers

Here are some of the projects I displayed during "daytime" on Rogers TV today. The host Susan Cook-Sherer was great! We covered a chocolate bar (not shown) to make it so pretty to give to someone special on Valentine's Day - or any other day for that matter. Then we made a little basket (not shown) with a 6"x6" piece of Designer Series Paper, some ribbon for a handle and you have a cute way to give chocolate kisses or another small candy.

I used the Love Impressions (121780) Designer Series paper, the Glimmer Paper (121790) - love that fun, glittery paper, without all the mess - real red satin ribbon and basic black taffeta ribbon.

Love Fancy Favour Box

A quick post before I leave for Nashville, TN. What's in Nashville... well, the Stampin' Up! Leadership Conference of course! Two days packed (and I mean packed, 8 am to 10 pm) full of business classes, meeting other demonstrators, playing with new product and more... Let's hope all the weather will let me get there.

Step by Step Directions

1. Cut out Fancy Favor Box out of Love Patterns Designer Series Paper using Big Shot. Assemble box using Sticky Strip.
2. Cut out handle for box using Tasteful trim die. Add handle to the box on the inside using Sticky Strip.
3. Stamp "love you" in Real Red on Whisper White. Punch out with small oval punch.
4. Punch large oval out of glimmer paper, add greeting on top with SNAIL.
5. Punch scallop oval out of Pink Pirouette and attach other ovals on with SNAIL.
6. Add to the box with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Step by Step Directions

Both of these tins had a magnet on the bottom which was quickly removed with some scissors.

1. Using Big Shot create snowflake from Baja Breeze cardstock.
2. Attach to top of tin with glue dot and top off with rhinestone.
3. Tie crochet trim around lid of tin.

Tin #2

1. Cut strip of Designer Series paper to fit on tin. Attach using sticky strip.
2. Punch snowflake from Baja Breeze, attach to lid with glue dot. Top off with a rhinestone.

Step by Step Directions

1. Cut two Top Notes out of Crumb Cake cardstock.
2. Stamp Christmas Collage in Crumb Cake classic ink on Crumb Cake cardstock.
3. Cut paper sack down to 2.5 inches.
4. Take top note and punch small oval on the first top note to create a handle. Line up the first one on top of the second one and punch the second handle.
5. Adhere the two top notes to the treat sac with Sticky Strip. Trim off pointy parts of top note on the bottom.
6. Stamp greeting in Cherry Cobbler on Very Vanilla cardstock and punch out with the Wide Oval. Attach to the bag with Stampin' Dimensionals.
7. Stamp Santa in Early Espresso classic on Very Vanilla. Cut out and then color hat with Real Red marker, tongue with Regal Rose and skin with Blush Blossom. Attach Santa to the bag with Stampin' Dimensionals.

These bags make an affordable stocking stuffer or teacher's gift, so get out that Big Shot and some treat sacs to create some handmade gifts from the heart!

Merry Pillow Box

Finally one day where I don't have to sleep for 10 hours!! I have been put on medication to prevent getting full blown TB (long story... ask me if you'd like to know more) and my body just felt SO tired. It was mentioned as one of the possible side effects, but still it was no fun...

Anyways, if you are looking how to package a small gift this holiday season, look no further than the Pillow Box Bigz Die (113466) for the Big Shot! This box goes together easily with some sticky strip and then you can top if off as desired. Here a satin ribbon and punch art flower add finishing touches.

Step by Step Directions

1. Cut Pillow Box out of Crumb Cake cardstock using Big Shot.
2. Stamp snowflake from Season of Joy randomly on box using Versamark.
3. Assemble box by adding sticky strip along the flap and on one end.
4. Run Real Red Satin Ribbon around the box end to end, securing seams on the back of the box with SNAIL.
5. Punch two Five Petal Flowers out of Real Red and then stick them together using SNAIL. Punch little flower from Trio Package out of Old Olive and then add to centre of flower using SNAIL.
6. Stamp "merry" from Tiny Tags in Real Red on Very Vanilla cardstock. Punch out with Jewellery Tag.
7. Set brad from Vintage Trinkets through tab on tag and then through the flower layers using the paper piercing tool.
8. Attach tag to secure tag with a Stampin' Dimensional underneath.
9. Secure flower to box using Stampin' Dimensionals.

Who doesn't love an advent calendar? This year Stampin' Up is offering a great little twist on the traditional advent calendar with the Candy Countdown Kit (120926). Create excitement during the holidays with this unique home decor item.

The boxes are a good size and you can easily put a treat, message or small gift in each of the boxes.
